Serengeti National Park – Witness the Greatest Wildlife Show on Earth

Spanning over 14,000 square kilometers of vast savannah, woodlands, and riverine forests in northern Tanzania, Serengeti National Park is one of the most iconic safari destinations in the world. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Serengeti is best known for the Great Migration, an awe-inspiring natural event where over two million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles journey across the plains in search of fresh grazing—closely followed by predators like lions, cheetahs, and crocodiles.

The park is home to the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—alongside giraffes, hyenas, hippos, and over 500 bird species. The open landscape makes wildlife viewing spectacular all year round, whether on a traditional game drive, a walking safari, or from above in a hot air balloon at sunrise.

Serengeti’s vastness is divided into regions, each offering something unique: the Southern Plains are calving grounds (January–March), the Western Corridor features dramatic river crossings (May–July), and the Northern Serengeti hosts thrilling Mara River crossings (July–October).

The best time to visit depends on your safari goals. For the Great Migration, plan your trip between June and October, though wildlife sightings are excellent year-round due to the park’s incredible biodiversity and size.

A visit to Serengeti is more than just a safari—it’s an immersion into one of nature’s grandest theatres, where every moment in the wild is raw, real, and unforgettable.
