Overview
Mount Longonot is a dormant volcano located in the Great Rift Valley, standing at 2,776 meters. The mountain features a steep but rewarding trail leading to the crater rim, where hikers are treated to panoramic views of the Rift Valley and Lake Naivasha. The entire hike, including a loop around the crater, takes about 4-5 hours. Longonot’s rugged terrain is home to wildlife such as zebras, buffalos, and antelopes.
